The Booststory Solid Oak Dining Table is crafted from sustainably sourced European white oak that has been air-dried for a minimum of 24 months before milling, ensuring dimensional stability and resistance to warping that kiln-dried timber cannot fully replicate. The tabletop is constructed from three wide-plank boards bookmatched across the grain to create a symmetrical, visually balanced surface that highlights the natural medullary rays and cathedral grain patterns unique to white oak. Each board is hand-selected by Booststory’s material specialists for consistent color tone, grain density, and absence of structural defects, resulting in a tabletop surface that rewards close inspection as much as it commands attention from across the room. The surface is finished with four coats of Booststory’s proprietary water-based hardwax oil, hand-buffed between each coat, which penetrates the wood fibers rather than forming a surface film — protecting against moisture, food stains, and daily wear while preserving the tactile warmth and natural character of the oak rather than sealing it behind a plastic-like lacquer layer. The table measures 220cm in length and 100cm in width, comfortably seating six adults with generous elbow room, and can be extended by 60cm with the optional butterfly leaf extension to seat eight. The hairpin-style solid steel legs are powder-coated in matte black and attach to the underside of the tabletop through mortise-and-tenon joints reinforced with machine-turned steel inserts, ensuring the leg-to-top connection remains rigid through years of daily loading and unloading.
