The Booststory Solid Maple Chest of Drawers provides the bedroom with storage capacity calibrated for two people sharing a wardrobe — six drawers ranging from 12cm to 25cm internal depth, providing the flexibility to organize folded shirts and knitwear in the deep lower drawers and smaller items including socks, underwear, accessories, and belts in the shallower upper drawers without the visual disorder that invariably develops in chests of drawers where every drawer is the same depth. Hard maple is the chosen material for this chest of drawers because its fine, consistent grain and light natural tone read as quietly sophisticated in bedroom environments without the visual weight that darker timbers like walnut or teak can introduce into a space that should feel calm and restful. The drawer boxes are constructed from solid maple with hand-cut dovetail joints at the front corners and machine-cut box joints at the rear corners — Booststory’s standard drawer construction that combines the visual quality of hand joinery at the visible front corner with the production efficiency of machine joinery at the hidden rear corner. All six drawers are fitted with Booststory’s standard full-extension soft-close undermount drawer runners, concealed beneath the drawer box and invisible from the front, side, and top — a fitting preference that maintains the clean, uninterrupted maple surface of the drawer front and sides. Each drawer front is fitted with a solid brass bar handle — 128mm centre-to-centre — that ages to the warm, mellow patina of living brass rather than maintaining the uniform brightness of lacquered hardware.
