The reclaimed timber used in this unit comes from certified sources where provenance documentation confirms the origin of each batch of recovered wood, allowing Booststory to guarantee that no reclaimed wood in its products originates from protected forests or unauthorized demolition. Each plank of reclaimed wood shows its own combination of saw marks, nail holes, weathering stains, and natural color variation — a surface record of the material’s previous life that is preserved rather than corrected, creating a piece of furniture that is genuinely unique in its surface character. The unit measures 180cm in width and sits on a solid black steel base frame elevated 15cm from the floor, providing a visual platform for the timber body that enhances the unit’s industrial aesthetic and allows easy floor cleaning beneath. The two sliding barn doors run on an exposed black steel track mounted above the door opening, operating on sealed ball-bearing rollers that allow the doors to move smoothly without derailing or squeaking. Each door measures 80cm in width and 50cm in height, covering the central media storage section which includes three adjustable solid wood shelves designed for media players, streaming devices, gaming consoles, and associated cable management. The two flanking open bays each contain two fixed shelves for books, speakers, and display items.
