Booststory Ash Wood Bookshelf — 5-Tier Freestanding Open Shelving

The Booststory Ash Wood Bookshelf brings the pale, luminous grain of European ash into the living room, study, or home office as a shelving solution that functions with the efficiency of a storage system and the visual presence of a sculptural piece. European ash is selected for this design for its distinctive grain — a combination of straight lines and subtle flame figure that creates visual interest without the dramatic variation that makes highly figured woods difficult to coordinate with surrounding furniture and decor. The shelving unit stands 180cm tall and features five shelves at variable heights: the bottom two intervals at 40cm for oversized books, display objects, and stacked items, the upper three intervals at 30cm for standard-format books and smaller display pieces. Each shelf is 40mm thick — significantly heavier than the 18mm shelves common in flat-pack alternatives — providing both structural rigidity and the visual weight that gives the Booststory Bookshelf the presence and gravitas of a permanent architectural element rather than a temporary storage solution. The back of the unit is left intentionally open in the top three shelf bays to allow the wall behind to become part of the composition, and fitted with a 6mm solid ash panel in the lower two bays to provide a clean backdrop for the items stored at standing eye-level. Two adjustable leveling feet are fitted at the base to compensate for uneven floors, and two anti-tip wall anchors are included and recommended for installation in homes with children or pets. The surface finish is a clear matte lacquer applied over a natural ash oil base coat, providing a cleanable surface without altering the natural pale color of the ash.
